If you're a coffee lover and looking for some of the best local coffee shops, then look no further. The list below (in no certain order) includes some of the finest coffee shops in town that will surely satisfy your taste buds
The ideal time to visit this coffee shop is during the late evenings. We highly recommend sitting outside and taking advantage of the table service provided by the experienced staff. With a steaming cup of coffee in hand, the otherwise chaotic noise of tuk-tuks, motorbikes and buses transform into a soothing and rhythmic symphony that is the familiar buzz of Moshi winding down for the night.
Kili Kahawa Lounge was established in the 1970s. It is an excellent place for explorers, travelers, and anyone seeking a spot to work with free Wi-Fi. The lounge is located at the heart of the CBD, right next to the Clock Tower roundabout. It's perfect for ending a long day of work, or as the last stop after a day of exploring Moshi. The décor is tasteful and incorporates the local culture with a touch of old antique pieces related to the coffee trade. The indoor dining area is spacious, uncluttered, and has enough room to accommodate a small group, or you can find yourself a nice nook to make that Zoom call.
Experience, Relevance & Convenience Factors (MyERC):

Come for the coffee, stay for the food
The location
Just a five-minute walk from Blue Cactus, Jack Fruit Café is a home that has been converted into a beautiful eatery and café. Located in the heart of Shanty Town, this establishment has grown to become a popular spot amongst the locals and a must-try for tourists visiting Moshi. It is situated on more than an acre of land and is divided into three guest-accessible areas.
The space
The inside dining area can seat up to twenty, whilst the veranda has seating for six. However, the showpiece is a large garden that can accommodate more than eighty people (with a marquee that can accommodate more than forty), making it ideal for large groups, teams, or birthday parties. Additionally, there is a large playground that can hold more than twenty (20) kids (supervision is not provided though there is a sitting area for parents or caretakers). The secure parking lot boasts space for more than twenty (20) cars (with additional space outside).
The owners have put a lot of thought into the décor. The indoor dining area is tastefully decorated with pieces from local artisans. The high ceiling with exposed wooden trusses gives a sense of spaciousness and helps with cooling during hot days. The original terrazzo floors are a nice touch. The garden has several plants and flowers and is accented by large smooth river stones. The bathrooms are exceptionally clean and have all the expected amenities. They are regularly serviced throughout the business day.
The Coffee
The owners are committed to supporting local businesses. That's why they source and roast Arabica beans locally. They offer a variety of freshly brewed coffees, including lattes, espressos, and cappuccinos, all tailored to your liking. This is a great spot for anyone looking for a casual coffee experience.
The Food and Drinks
The service
Even though it’s not for the coffee connoisseur, Jackfruit Cafe is a charming place to discover as a newcomer, but it's even more enjoyable as a local.
